Bad breath is indeed a big problem, especially if it arises from chronic underlying medical issues. Some people have to deal with bad breath every day of their lives due to medical conditions of the alimentary tract.

Halitosis may pose a social problem for chronically ill people, especially for those who have friends who will find it annoying and avoid them instead of gently pointing it out and suggesting a way to deal with it.

Remember to be gentle with these people and recommend some of the home remedies here instead of discriminating 🙂

Some people do not know how to control it and will not know it is so prominent until someone is kind enough to point it out.

  2. Never heard of the natural ways of curing bad breath. It is one of the most unpleasant and irritating problem that affect our lives. Really getting to know those recipes described in this article is a big advantage. How about some more syntactical ways of getting rid of bad breath – like Listerine for example? What is you opinion on those?

    1. Hey Sam,

Bad breath really can is unpleasant. To answer your question about synthetic remedies  for  bad breath, I  really  try  to encourage using natural products as much as possible. They tend to have less side effects on both your body and the environment.

Did you know that due to strong suspicions, studies are currently being done to establish the relationship between esophageal and stomach cancer and the use of some popular synthetic toothpastes and mouthwashes? I am waiting to see the results if they surface.

It is always good to know and practice using natural products to solve everyday health problems wherever possible.

  4. Wow, there’s good information on here for naturally treating bad breath.

I think a big thing that people don’t pay proper attention to is brushing their tongues. Everybody brushes their teeth but I think it’s easy to forget that the tongue needs to be cleaned as well. I’m guilty of that!

    1. Hey Elsa,

You  are so right. Especially kids. I have to remind my younger siblings everyday to get it done! It looks like you might need a reminder too lol. It is very important that you remember to brush your tongue. This is where majority of the tiny food particles will settle and rot! That will leave you with a smelly breath so be careful.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing with us. I hope these remedies will be helpful to you 🙂

  5. Bad breath is gross. But there are so many ways to avoid it. There are great tips here to do just that. I try and take care of my mouth especially since I have diabetes. I love green tea so I’m glad that it’s a solution for bad breath. I will definitely use apple cider vinegar for preventing bad breath because it has a lot of health benefits. Is any one of these better than the others?

    1. Hey Rob,

Thanks for dropping by. Apple cinder vinegar is recommended all across the board! But remember that you do not have to use any one method every day. I recommend using different remedies regularly. My grandmother always said “too much of one thing cannot be good.” So always use in moderation.
